Literatura naukowa, popularnonaukowa i piśmiennicze relacje z podróży o kontrowersyjnych zjawiskach w turystyce - fenomen turystyki slumsowej

Abstrakt


W ostatnim dwudziestoleciu XX w. nastąpiła ekspansja turystyki slumsowej, która dała początek dyskusji poświęconej tej formie turystyki, głównie w wymiarze moralno-etycznym. Wycieczki do  slumsów z przewodnikiem stają się standardem w turystyce miejskiej, szczególnie dotyka to krajów rozwijających się. Celem niniejszego opracowania jest przedstawienie, na wybranych przykładach literatury naukowej, popularnonaukowej oraz piśmienniczych i osobistych relacji z podróży, opinii i osobistych odczuć ich autorów: podróżników, dziennikarzy jak i badaczy – dotyczących moralno-etycznego wymiaru uprawiania turystyki slumsowej. Procedura badawcza obejmowała metodę systematycznego przeglądu literatury i materiałów piśmienniczych oraz analizę treści. W przytoczonych materiałach napotkano zarówno pozytywne jak i negatywne wypowiedzi traktujące o dobrych jak i złych stronach slumsturystyki, a dominującym poglądem jest brak jednoznacznej oceny slumsturystyki, zarówno w kwestiach etyczno-moralnych, jak i ekonomicznych. Ocena zależy od kontekstu oraz perspektywy uczestnika-badacza, uczestnika-turysty czy uczestnika-mieszkańca dzielnicy biedy. Pytanie o to, czy slumsturystyka może zostać jednoznacznie oceniona w kontekście moralno-etycznym pozostaje wciąż otwartym.
